Equipment

  • silicone mold

Ingredients

  • 500 g milk chocolate
  • 50 g dried cranberries or any dried berries chopped
  • 50 g raisins or dates, prunes, chopped
  • 50 g almonds or roasted nuts, chopped into small pieces
  • 50 g walnuts or any nuts roasted and chopped into small pieces

Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare the mold and tray.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chopped dried fruits and roasted chopped nuts. Add and divide in a silicone mold or ice cube tray. Set aside half of the dried fruits and nuts.
  • Tempering Chocolate. In a heatproof bowl, add the chocolate and place on top of the saucepan with simmering water.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, pour the mixture into a lined baking tray and silicone mold with dried fruits and nuts. Spread it out evenly using a spatula.
    For the Homemade fruit and nut chocolate bark, add the rest of the dried fruits and nuts on top. Gently press using a spatula or by hand to adhere to the chocolate.
  • Place the tray and silicone mold in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to set.
  • Once set, carefully remove from the silicone mold and tray. Break the Homemade fruit and nut chocolate bark into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

Tempering chocolate - The bowl mustn't be in contact with simmering water. Also, ensure the water is not at a rapid boil or high temperature to prevent the chocolate from burning, giving a gritty texture.
