Chocolate – Basically, you can use any chocolate you like. I used milk chocolate and used up easter eggs chocolate. Try it with semi-sweet or dark chocolate, in particular, which is known for its antioxidants and potential health benefits.

Dried fruits – Combine any dried fruits you like. Raisins, dates, dried berries (cranberries, blueberries, strawberries) apricots, prunes, and peaches, which are popular ingredients. Alternatively, if available, dried orange peel, dried mango, and pineapple can be added.

Nuts – Combine any of these healthy nuts. Almonds, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, chestnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pine nuts, and pistachios.

How to make Homemade Fruit and Nut Chocolate

Preparing homemade fruit & nut chocolate is a fun and engaging activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Step 1. Gather all your ingredients and prepare the mold and tray.

Step 2. Prepare the dried fruits and nuts.

To roast the raw nuts.

In a pan on medium heat. Stir and toss the raw nuts until lightly brown and toasty fragrant.

In the oven. Preheat at 350°F and roast for about 5 to 7 minutes.

In the air fryer. Preheat at 345°F and roast for about 2 to 3 minutes. While roasting the nuts, chop the dried fruits into small pieces.

In a small bowl, combine the chopped dried fruits and roasted chopped nuts. Add and divide in a silicone mold or ice cube tray. Set aside half of the dried fruits and nuts.

Homemade Fruit and Nut Chocolate prepStep 3. Tempering the Chocolate. In a heatproof bowl, add the chocolate and place on top of the saucepan with simmering water.

Note: The bowl mustn’t be in contact with simmering water. Also, ensure the water is not at a rapid boil or high temperature to prevent the chocolate from burning, giving a gritty texture.

Step 4. Mold and shape the chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted, pour the mixture into a lined baking tray and silicone mold with dried fruits and nuts. Spread it out evenly using a spatula. For the Homemade fruit and nut chocolate bark, add the rest of the dried fruits and nuts on top. Gently press using a spatula or by hand to adhere to the chocolate.

Once set, carefully remove from the silicone mold and tray. Break the Homemade fruit and nut chocolate bark into bite-sized pieces.
