Ingredients

  • 6 mini tart shells frozen

For the Pear pie filling ingredients:

  • 2 pears
  • tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar packed
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • a pinch of nutmeg and salt

For the optional topping

  • ¼ cup raw walnuts roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F, while preparing the pear pie filling.
  • Make the pear pie filling. Peel, core and dice the pears and transfer to a small bowl. Add the rest of the pear pie filling ingredients and mix until incorporated.
  • Filling the mini tart shells. Arrange the mini tart shells on a baking sheet or use a muffin pan. Fill the tart shells up to the top with the pear pie filling. Topped with chopped raw walnuts, if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Let it cool on a cooling rack.
  • Best tastes to served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
