Gather, prepare, and arrange all the ingredients close to the stove. This recipe only takes 5 minutes to cook.
Boil water in a pot and add about a teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil.
In a pan with olive oil, melt butter over medium-high heat. While the butter is melting, add the angel hair or capellini pasta to boiling water. This only needs to cook for about a minute or two.
Add shrimp and garlic to the pan with melted butter and olive oil. Cook for about two minutes and will continue cooking with the rest of the ingredients.
Add oregano and white wine (optional) to simmer for 30 seconds.
Add the pasta, grated Parmigiano-Reggiano or parmesan cheese, pasta water and lemon zest. Cook for another minute or two, then off the heat.
Add fresh basil and parsley, salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with parsley and shave of Parmigiano-Reggiano or grated Parmesan cheese.
