Cooking Time and Temperature
Air fry the Whole Tandoori Chicken. Cook in a preheated air fryer at 400° F the 3lbs to 4lbs whole chicken for about 50 minutes to an hour or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken (thighs) reaches 170°F to 180°F.
After 45 minutes of cooking, brush with the remaining marinade. You may need to lower the temperature of your air fryer to 375° F to prevent darkening the exterior or chicken skin. Then continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes or until it reaches the desired internal cooking temperature.
