This Air Fryer Crispy Tofu recipe is a budget-friendly and flavorful appetizer. Serve with Asian-inspired dipping sauce is also perfect for a snack or any meal of the day.
How to make Air Fryer Crispy Tofu
Press the tofu. Wrap the tofu with a paper towel and place it on an inverted container or use a rack with a small baking pan to catch the excess liquid from the tofu. Place a small cast iron pan or wooden board on the tofu and let it stand to press for 30 minutes.
Slice the tofu into a cube about an inch and a half. After slicing, squeeze out as much moisture as possible for a crispier result.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, sesame oil and Worcestershire sauce. Toss the tofu with the oil mixture in a bowl.
Mix all the seasoning ingredients in a container with the cornstarch and cornmeal. Then add to the tofu, toss or shake in a bowl until covered with the seasoning.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Spread the tofu in a single layer. Depending on your air fryer and how crispy you like your tofu. Air fry the tofu at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Mix all the dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl and serve with the tofu. Garnish with fresh parsley.
