This Honey lemon glazed turkey breast is a turkey ham style that is so moist and flavourful. The turkey drippings, with honey, lemon, herbs and spices create a delicious glaze for this roast turkey breast. The turkey was slow-cooked from frozen until golden brown. It’s so easy to make and it’s perfect for Thanksgiving dinner and the Holidays!
Honey Lemon Glazed Turkey Breast Ingredients
3.3 lbs Turkey breast– I used Butterball Frozen Boneless Turkey Breast 15% meat protein
Olive oil– to drizzle on the turkey breast to prevent drying.
Chicken Broth– to add flavour to the drippings and glaze.
Water– to keep the turkey moist while roasting.
For the Honey Lemon Glazed ingredients
Honey– to sweeten and thicken the glaze
Lemon– the citrus you need to balance all the flavours. Make sure to use both lemon zest and lemon juice.
Dijon mustard– a thickener, also has salt that adds flavour and a bit of tang to the sweet glaze.
Herbs– Thyme, Rosemary and sage. You can use fresh or dried herbs.
Garlic Powder– or use fresh garlic for a more flavourful tasty glaze.
How to make Honey Lemon Glazed Turkey Breast
- Cook the turkey breast from frozen. Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Remove the plastic bag. Do not remove the netting. Place the frozen turkey on a rack in a shallow baking pan or crumple an aluminum foil to use as a baking rack.
- Drizzle the turkey with olive oil, then pour chicken broth and water into the baking pan, to prevent drying.
- Do not cover. Cook for 4 hours. Add more water if needed.
- Make the honey lemon glaze. Mix all the ingredients in a liquid measuring cup.
- Remove the turkey and aluminum foil or rack if using, from the baking pan and skim off the scum. Remove the netting and then place it back in the baking pan.
- Pour the honey lemon glaze mixture over the turkey. Roast for another 20 to 30 minutes at 350°F or until the safe internal temperature reaches 165°F or follow the cooking temperature in the packaging of the turkey ham you are using. Basting every 10 minutes.
- Transfer the turkey drippings with honey lemon glaze in a saucepan. Simmer on medium heat until thickened.
- Place the roasted turkey and roasted vegetables on a serving plate. Brush it all over with honey lemon glaze, then garnish with stems of parsley.
- Slice and serve with more honey lemon glaze.
