Balsamic Glazed Pork loin

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Pork Loin 2 slices
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
Homemade Steak Seasoning Ingredients:

Yield 1/3 cup (use 1 tsp for this recipe)

  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 2 tbsp crushed ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp cumin optional
Balsamic-glazed Ingredients
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Equipment

  • cast iron pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat well seasoned cast iron pan or use stainless steel heavy bottomed pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Season 2 slices pork loin of  Worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp steak seasoning.
  3. Preheat oven to 375F. Drizzle a preheated cast iron with canola oil. Add and cook each side of pork loin for 4 minutes. Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes in a preheated oven (depends on the thickness of pork loin).
  4. In a small bowl or measuring cup, add all balsamic glaze ingredients and mix until well blended.
  5. Remove the cast iron with the pork loin from the oven and immediately pour balsamic glaze mixture. Transfer on a plate and serve hot.
