Equipment

  • cast iron pan

Ingredients

  • 500 g Pork Loin 2 slices
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning

Homemade Steak Seasoning Ingredients:

Yield 1/3 cup (use 1 tsp for this recipe)

  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 2 tbsp crushed ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp cumin optional

Balsamic-glazed Ingredients

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat well seasoned cast iron pan or use stainless steel heavy bottomed pan to medium-high heat.
  • Season 2 slices pork loin of  Worcestershire sauce and 1 tsp steak seasoning.
  • Preheat oven to 375F. Drizzle a preheated cast iron with canola oil. Add and cook each side of pork loin for 4 minutes. Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes in a preheated oven (depends on the thickness of pork loin).
  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, add all balsamic glaze ingredients and mix until well blended.
  • Remove the cast iron with the pork loin from the oven and immediately pour balsamic glaze mixture. Transfer on a plate and serve hot.
