Pork Marinade ingredients:

  • Honey- to add sweetness, can be substituted with brown sugar.
  • Olive oil- this will help the pork moist while grilling.
  • Soy sauce- use low sodium or light soy sauce
  • Lemon juice- adding any acidity to the marinade will tenderize the meat. You can substitute with apple cider vinegar, white or red wine vinegar, and balsamic vinegar.
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Grain mustard or use dijon mustard
  • Garlic powder or grated fresh garlic
  • Smoked paprika, you can substitute regular paprika, add 1/4 tsp. cumin

Optional Herbs add-ins

Dried or fresh Thyme and rosemary to add depth of flavour.

How to make Juicy Grilled Pork

  • Mix all the marinade ingredients in a small bowl until blended.
  • Place the sliced pork in a container or a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the pork and make sure the meat is evenly soaked in the marinade.
  • Marinade for at least an hour or overnight for the best flavour and extra juicy meat. Please note the tougher and thicker cut of meat needs to marinate longer.

Instruction image

  • Preheat the grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the pork for 4 to 7 minutes or until cook through. Cooking time can vary, depending on the thickness of the pork slices. Use a timer and meat thermometer to avoid overcooking and drying out the meat.

  • For thicker slices, finish cooking in preheated oven to 375°F, or close the lid on the BBQ grill until the internal temperature reaches 145°F medium-rare to 160°F medium-well.
  • Make sure to cover the pork with aluminum foil and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. By doing this, it will release the juice from the meat.
